We have developed a cattle management system consisting of a record-keeping app and optional GPS/activity monitoring ear tags for livestock. We are continuously improving and adding features to our software app, as well as adding in a variety of other hardware devices and sensors to help automate the production of beef cattle.
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Field Sales Representative of 701x's beef cattle technology products to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This hybrid role is designed for a highly motivated individual with a deep understanding of the beef cattle industry and a passion for driving innovation and technology within the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Outreach: Build and maintain relationships with beef cattle producers, focusing on growing a book of business, particularly with large-scale operations.
Subject Matter Expert: Become a trusted subject matter expert (SME) on the products and services 701x offers, ensuring clients receive the best possible advice and solutions tailored to their needs.
Field Sales & Service: Travel 50-75% of the time to meet with producers, assess operations, and provide customized solutions. You will be responsible for managing and servicing the large operations you land.
Tech-Savvy Sales Approach: Utilize your knowledge of livestock technology and software tools to engage clients and offer modern, technology-driven solutions to improve their operations.
Relationship Building: Use your interpersonal skills to build trust and confidence with new and existing clients. Establish long-lasting relationships that extend beyond the sale, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
Objection Handling & Negotiation: Confidently handle objections in a professional and assertive manner, ensuring clear communication and mutual respect while closing deals.
Activity Tracking: Utilize Hubspot to track account activity, set tasks, and manage sales pipelines.
Qualifications
Experience: 2-5 years of sales experience in the beef cattle industry and working with producers preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the beef cattle industry, including livestock production, operational challenges, and the role of technology in modern farming.
Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with livestock-related technology and software. Ability to quickly learn and adopt new tech tools.
Sales Experience: Proven track record in building a sales pipeline, closing deals, and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to establish rapport and trust. Confident, outgoing, and persuasive tactics.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively (50-75%) to visit clients and operations across the region or country.
